Mississauga - On March 20, 2019, we replaced our In Training License with a mandatory Uniform purchase. Since then, we’ve collected a large amount of Robux in the nearly 3 years since then. We’ve also distributed more than half that to our Trainers and Supervisors as pay for their generous contributions to the group.

Although we have made a significant revenue during the sale period, it has prevented some of our customers from becoming Transit Operators. We’ve introduced our Free Training Program to allow some of our Affiliate/Partnered groups access to Free Training. However, for some members who are certain ranks that required verification and a reference, it has been proved difficult to obtain one. Throughout the years, we’ve expanded eligibility for the program. However, some members are still prevented by the cost to join the group as a Transit Operator. Our 2020 Customer Experience Survey indicated that 50% of Customers who filled out the survey wanted to see free training for everyone. That is the same case this year, with more than 65% of members who filled out the survey asking for the same thing. Some have even viewed purchasing the uniforms as a paywall to get training.

Throughout that time, we’ve also expanded our bus fleet to accommodate our growing member count. As of December 2021, our fleet has grown from 11 active buses in March 2019 to 40 active buses in December 2021. We continue to expand our fleet by adding more buses in the coming months. Our fleet is now able to accommodate a large number of active Transit Operators at any event.

We’ve also found another source of revenue - Premium Payouts. Whenever a Roblox Premium Member visits our game for a long time, we earn revenue from that person. And this year, a lot of Premium members visited our game, and we’ve collected a large amount of revenue, at times much more than our Uniform sales.

At Sauga Transit, we want to Bring Transit Fans of all types - including those who are unable to obtain Robux, Together. With all our reasons, we have decided to make our uniform purchase optional - meaning you don’t need to buy the uniform to get training, regardless of your status! Because of all this, we also decided to discontinue the Free Training Program, for now. New perks will be added later in 2022.

You can still purchase our Uniform if you want to wear it outside Sauga Transit. They will still be up for sale at their regular prices. Starting on January 1, Uniforms will be provided for free at our Yards if Transit Operators forget to wear them during an event.

We’d like to apologize to those who were affected by this. You guys deserve better — a lot better — from us at Sauga Transit. We promise you from this day forward, we will give our customers and staff what they deserve. Nothing is more important that regaining your trust in our group. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide the experience you deserve and expect from us. We’ll keep giving back to our amazing community because you guys deserve it.
