Sauga Transit’s Response to Roblox’s audio privacy update
Today, on March 9, 2022, Roblox announced Asset Privacy for Audio. This will no longer allow other users & groups using Audios uploaded by other users which are set to Private, after March 22, 2022. If you are a developer, & assets from your game were made or uploaded by other users, regardless if which they have their assets set to Private or not, the audios will no longer work in your game. Eventually, the Asset Privacy will be reflected to Meshes, Decals & Models.
How does this affect Sauga Transit?
It won’t, for the most part. Sauga Transit requires all development submissions to be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer, Mike, for him to upload. All our vehicles are made by Mike. Therefore, Sauga Transit has full control of its assets.
However, our Celebration Square music player will be affected. Users who want to play music during events will be limited to using only Roblox’s approved Audios, example of those include Monstercat, APM, Pro Sound Effects, Nettwerk Music Group & Position Music. This means if users request audio to be played, regardless if it is Public or not, it won’t work.
What will happen when Roblox reflects their Asset Privacy to Meshes, Decals & Models?
Sauga Transit will no longer require a screening process in order to join the group. That means anyone can play our game without the need to be in the group! This is because it would be pointless for exploiters who try to steal assets from not only Sauga Transit, but from other games as well. When that happens, the risk of our Assets being stolen are very minimal, but until then, the current screening process is mandatory.
